Oh no! You’re almost out of your favourite toilet roll paper, what are you going to do? Never fear, a new device from Amazon will allow you to instantly order household items, with ease!
Don’t you just hate it when you’re running low on stock, but you simply don’t have the time to go out and buy the things you need. Luckily for you, Amazon recently announced a new device which could allow for almost instant purchasing of household goods, with the click of a button.
According to the device’s website, the device itself is called the ‘Dash Button’ and it looks, well, dashing! Some of the most common household products that will be Dash Button compatible include razors, toilet paper, juice, pet food, washing up powder and much more. Just don’t expect to be getting a brand new 40″ HD TV with this device, not yet anyway.[divider]What is it?[/divider]
For some people, shopping can be a stressful time. You need to go all the way down to your local supermarket to pick up the milk, bread, chocolate muffins and washing up powder, but sometimes, among the difficult challenge of running up and down the aisles, you forget something or go completely off track, and the next thing you know, you’ve just bought a brand new microwave.
If only there was a device that could let you shop from home. Oh wait! There is! The Dash button is meant to give consumers a whole new shopping experience by allowing them to shop from home. The simple-to-use device will allow people to easily order new items with the touch of a button, quite literally. Designed to be used by the whole family, this device is meant for a stressless and fun shopping experience.

The setup couldn’t be more simple! All you need to do is use the Amazon app on your mobile phone to easily connect to your home Wi-Fi and select the product you want to re-order with the Dash Button. According to the website, Amazon sends an order alert to your phone which makes it easy to cancel if you decide you don’t want the item anymore.
The button, with the help of an adhesive stick, can be stuck onto any surface you want. By pushing the button on the device, you alert Amazon of the product you wish to have and they send it out within a couple of days. Hassle free!
To know what you actually order when you press the button, each button will come with their own sticker, indicating the item you will be ordering. Although you won’t be able to customize each button, you will be able to change the quantity or size of said item.[divider]Can I use the device?[/divider]
Unfortunately, only Amazon Prime members who are living in the United States are eligible to get the button for free, but even then, that’s through invitation.
There is no date for when the device will be released for non-prime customers as well as customers outside of the United States, but we’re guessing if the device will be a success, Amazon will expand not so long in the future.
Even though the button may seem a little pointless to some people, what with other devices such as computers being out there to do exactly the same job, people with busy days who need to get the job done fast might benefit from it. A free device that will instantly order what you need without fuss, who wouldn’t want that?
As the first of April just passed, and the device being announced a day before, many people on the internet believed this device to be an April fools joke; nevertheless, Amazon have confirmed that this device is in fact legit and can be used by people who meet the current requirements.
